Inspector Gadget is a fictional character, a comic book-style superhero. He is a brave, well-intentioned, yet absent-minded and clueless detective who often bungles his cases and escapes trouble only by luck. Nevertheless, his brain is able to work wonders with the help of his many gadgets.
The Gadgets feature in the upcoming update for Darksiders 4 is meant to give players new ways to make their team stronger and more versatile. This includes a number of new gadgets, as well as new abilities that let players unlock their true potential.
KORG Gadget 3 for iOS/Mac has added Native Instruments NKS support and Avid AAX. NKS support allows users to use and adjust presets in KOMPLETE KONTROL and MASCHINE directly from the AUv3 plugin, while Avid AAX supports integration with Pro Tools. In addition, the update has a few other bug fixes and improved app stability.
Gadget also introduces a few additional features, including filter, parameters and on_change options for defining the configuration of the script. Filter can be used to specify arbitrary configuration data, and on_change can be set to either ignore or reload, stating what to do when the file is loaded. By default the script is ignored.
Lastly, the Gadget API now supports a new type of Action that takes a single record and runs a function against it. This Action is called a model Action, and it can be run by both the Gadget UI and the API. This is a great way to quickly write custom functions for doing things like creating a new blog post or running a weekly newsletter with summaries and links to recent posts (multiple records).
